Cyfle Cymru supports people across Wales who are affected by substance use and/or mental health conditions. They help individuals build confidence, gain new skills, and take positive steps towards training, qualifications, work experience, or volunteering.
Their dedicated team of Peer Mentors use their own lived experience of recovery and mental health challenges to offer understanding, encouragement, and practical guidance. Together, we help you move closer to the career or opportunity that’s right for you.
Who they Support
They work with people who are:
- Aged 16–24 and not currently in employment, education, or training
- Aged 25+ and long-term unemployed or economically inactive
- In recovery from substance use and/or mental health issues
How they Help
They understand recovery — and they understand the barriers to work. That’s why they offer support tailored to your needs, including:
- One-to-one guidance from a Peer Mentor who’s been where you are and can share practical advice from experience
- Specialist employment support, including training courses, volunteering opportunities, and job search guidance
- Employer connections through their partnerships with major organisations across Wales
- Ongoing support even after you start work, training, or education — to help you settle in and succeed
Drop-In at the Foodbank
You can also meet them in person at our friendly drop-in sessions at the Foodbank every other Friday from 22 August, 10:30 am – 1 pm.
No appointment needed — just pop in for a cuppa, a chat, and advice on how they can support you.
